Out of the blue it was clear tonight. A gift from the easter bunny. I am trying to get a high-quality run on GSC 2504-566. I’ve gotten 3 nights of noisy crappy data due to bad weather, so I’m hoping tonight’s will be better. This star seems a bit weird at the get-go, as you can see above.

 

Everything is working well. My motor for my focuser stopped working (and is making a clicking noise). So I took that off and haven’t had time to look at it yet. The mount is working beautifully. The scope is out of focus right now and I was too lazy to focus it. On this particular field it doesn’t matter too much and in some cases it can actually help. I was liking the robotic focusing, though, and gotta get that working again.

 

I need to check when this star sets ‘cause I need to get something else queued up. Better get back to it...
