Today I was doing some testing with my new mount and suddenly it stopped working. Just POOF, nothing. ARGH! My freaking observatory has been down for weeks now and I have a shiny new (expensive) mount sitting and it just died for no reason.

 

I had it out last night and it performed beautifully. It tracked way better than my old mount. It was very obvious. It was also quite obvious how much bigger this mount is than my Losmandy GM-8. The GM-8 seems like a toy by comparison. The Tak NJP is big and heavy. Yeah, there are bigger/heavier mounts out there, but this is a pretty beefy mount.

 

Now if only the damn thing would work!
