I spent the last few days “up north” at my families lake cabin. It’s in the middle of nowhere. The skies are very, very dark. I took one image of The Dumbbell Nebula, which came out OK. Subsequent nights the seeing was pretty poor and I focused on variable stars again. (I’m currently trying to get a full light curve of CX Cep.)
Besides some mosquitos, it was beautiful and I was in shorts and barefoot the whole time. Not a bad way to do astronomy.
