Cold Wave
I consider myself a hardcore astronomer, but –17F is pretty freaking cold. That’s –27C for you folks with more rational systems of units. The forecast is for clear:
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around -17. Wind chill values between -25 and -34. Northwest wind around 9 mph.
...but I think I’m staying home. The gear tends to not work that well at these temps.
I posted a post very similar to this called Heat Wave on August 1st, 2006, almost exactly 6 months ago. Of the two, I choose the heat!
