Here is a very interesting interview I did with Ernan McMullin. He is a fascinating guy who knew Schrodinger and Carl Sagan. He is a priest and he studied theoretical physics. He is currently the O’Hara Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at the University of Notre Dame and the godfather of a good friend of mine. I blogged about him before in regards to Intelligent Design, which he thinks is nonsense on both scientific and theological grounds. It’s a fairly long but highly interesting interview. Check it out!

This is from an interview I did with Pam Ellison, who is running for governor of Minnesota. This part was recorded after the main interview. Pam didn’t know I was recording, although I did let her listen to this before I posted it so as to not betray any confidence. I will be posting the main interview at some point, but I thought this bit was pretty interesting. She talks about being religous and pro-choice as well as a little bit about her time working for Jesse Ventura.

We should fillibuster Alito. Yes, he seems like a nice enough guy. The fact of the matter is, though, with Roberts and Alito both likely to lean towards the side of Scalia et al, we are fucked. We can’t let it happen. Unfortunately, fillibuster is the only tool in the toolbox. The Dems will be too cowardly to do it, is my guess, but they should. Look, you Right wing bastards, we gave you Roberts. We played nice.
These guys get drunk and make no sense from a ignorant, inbred, close-minded but still rather humorous perspective. I noticed them because they play my podcast about Judicial Activism and ridicule me.

I may return the favor and ridicule these guys on a future podcast. For now, go listen to them because they pretty effectively ridicule themselves by how wrong they are.

I heard Christine Todd Whitman on NPR talking about her book It’s My Party Too. I agree: the radical right-wing is moving farther and farther from the conservative base that really gives the GOP its power. This podcast is rantings on this, one of my favorite topics, how The Republicans Are Running Amok.

It’s a typical rambling conversation about various political and religious topics. I called it Jesus Was A Socialist just because I thought it was one of the more amusing quotes from Juan. Enjoy!

Herein I ramble on mainly about sex or how men view sex, I guess. It was prompted by a comment by mopsa who said something to the effect of: “The bottom line is men who are womanizers do not respect women.” I try to answer this question, somewhat unsuccessfully. It all boils down to what you mean by “womanizer”. My lovely lalune and I discussed it, after I recorded this, and we decided that basically you could define womanizer as someone who doesn’t respect women, and that might get you pretty close. Anyway, for what it is worth, twenty minutes and two seconds of Men and Sex.

Did two quick podcasts in one day. The first one is a dialogue with 3 leading political analysts. Matt, Ryan and Kurt (not their real names) were kind enough to share their views on the battle of Right vs. Left. The second one is a rant about the debate over the filibuster. The filibuster is really important and we should be appalled that the Right Wing Wackos want to be able to approve judicial nominees with a slim majority while trampling on the rules of the Senate.

Today’s show is called Racism: It’s Sick But It’s Not Dead Yet. I didn’t realize it when I was recording it, but today is the 37th anniversary of the death of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. He was assassinated on April 4th, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 39 years old. I am 39 years old.

Here is a rather disjointed but hopefully coherent expose on bias and the media. It’s called, surprisingly, Bias and the Media.

Here is the next installment of my podcast. Herein I discuss medical malpractice tort reform and touch on the Terri Schiavo case. As such I’m calling it Medical Mayhem. My fps (fucks per second) was pretty good on this one, especially when talking about that complete and utter dipshit known as Tom Delay. Check it out!

Back to politics…

This show is motivated by discussions I had with a right-wing fellow a week or so ago. It is largely his take on the war in Iraq and my reaction to it. I also discuss the ANWR controversy and ramble off on various tangents as usual. I’ll call this one War and Energy, I guess. Enjoy!
